ALTR was created with the aim of turning a simple daily object into a thing of ritual and reconnection to the land. Using their homegrown botanicals, ALTR Soap Bars contain only natural, organic, wildcrafted ingredients. Each bar starts with a base of a nourishing herbal infusion and does not have any synthetic fragrances. All bars are vegan with exception of honey lavender and free of cruelty/animal testing.

Lavender Honey - This soap has been designed to be healing for those with sensitive or damaged skin. ALTR carefully prepares lavender tea from locally harvested sprigs, and then honey is mixed in just before saponification to create this beautiful soap. Honey is incredibly healing, reducing blemishes and scarring over time. Lavender reduces the effects of nervous tension in body and mind, facilitating rest and recovery.
Pine + Charcoal - The strongest, most deeply cleansing soap from ALTR. Locally wildcrafted white pine comes together with charcoal to refresh and purify. As an astringent, pine hardens proteins on the surface of the skin, preventing excessive oil from accumulating in the pores upon drying. Charcoal’s meso porous structure allows it to absorb several hundred times its own weight in impurities.
Red Oak + Black Walnut - Ground Black Walnut husks paired with Red Oak bark are used to create a powerful aroma that is both smokey and woodsy. Juglone from Black Walnut and the tannins from Red Oak are both very effective antimicrobial agents that leave your skin smooth and clean.
Sage + Sea Salt - For those who are looking for a soap that is both mentally and physiologically grounding. Finely ground sea salt is combined with an infusion of wildcrafted sage to create a cleansing and mineral rich bar. Calming to the mind, sage helps restore peace to your system. Sea salt balances oil production in the skin.
Spruce + Rose - This soap has been designed to be refreshing and palliative. Black Spruce and Rose are gathered and dried to create this fresh and relaxing aroma. Spruce is an effective disinfectant that is great for relieving aches and pains in bones and muscles. Rose is a famous anti-inflammatory and analgesic.
Yarrow + Calendula - Yarrow and Calendula are harvested from ALTR’s gardens to soothe and nourish your skin. Calendula is a wonderful anti-inflammatory agent and muscle relaxant. The achilleine in Yarrow reduces anxiety. This bar has been designed to be psychologically and physiologically soothing. This bar has no added essential oils to keep it gentle for pregnant and nursing mamas and babies.
